restored to all its glory .....

Vehicle is a lot lighter without the front clip assy....


I slipped the rebuilt unit back in and then replaced the entire suitcase assy. under hood ...


the vehicle we took this all from only had 15000 original miles making it a great vehicle ...


added a set of NIMH batteries from a Ranger EV that only had 19000 original miles on it ...


making this vehicle a very nice rig it also has leather interior ... not many with that ..... added a palm unit to watch the voltage and state of charge and this one is set up for reliability and a long life left as a Rav4 EV ....

Put the new motor in the bracket and get ready to put it back in .....

Lots of parts so be careful with them ... drain all the coolant and gearbox oil before dropping it or you will have a big mess .....

I hope you never have to do this but I have a rav4 ev that the motor and the suitcase under the hood needs changed out ... it seems the coolant has been never changed on this one plugging up and causing the motor inverter to overheat and the motor to overheat ruining both .. there was a damaged rav4 ev that had the right parts so I dropped this unit out and replaced it ...

here is what I did .. jacked it up and dropped assy. as per the manual... not that hard but you need to be careful and disconnect everything and all cables so they don't get broken .....
